Diwali is India’s most significant festival of the year—it’s a festive day to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. The lighting of diyas and lamps is seen as the eradication of darkness, and it illuminates our path spiritually. It is an auspicious five-day festival of lights, prayers, feasts, and fireworks.

This year, The Hindu Society of North Carolina is organizing a grand Diwali celebration as HSNC Diwali Dhamaka on October 22, 3:00 pm at HSNC main hall. Entry is free for the choreographers and participants who are eager to perform in the cultural programs  Furthermore, the celebration will be wrapped up with fireworks for the community.
