Let’s escape and breathe the air of new places. The Umstead State Park is the perfect destination to escape from loud and noisy cities and spend quality time in nature. It covers 5,579 acres in the triangle and is your perfect one day trip or weekend getaway.
Current scenario with extinction of species, flora and fauna, the Umstead State Park proves to be a ray of hope in conserving wildlife and nature.
Educating citizens, entertaining them with fun activities and inspiring them to contribute in overall sustainable development of the world so that we could together, as a team, make this world a better place to live in has always been it’s primary perspective.

Let’s know some facts about this State Park, the Umstead trail is a 0.6 mile loop. You’ll see oak trees surrounding the trail.
Fun activities include hiking the trails, picnicking, horse riding, sitting near the three lakes, big lake being the largest enjoy fishing, mountain biking and Nature study, camping and a lot more fun stuffs.
The entry is cost free, although rental facilities are available for boats.
Visiting hours are divided on the grounds of the part of the Park you would plan to explore, like Crabtree Creek, Reedy Creek, Visitor center and campground gates. Overall, the State Park is available for all from morning 8:00 am till sunset. Hours may vary considering the protocols.
