Shabaash Mithu film review:
The Srijit Mukerji’s directorial starring Tapsee Pannu.
The film is biopic of the Women Indian Cricket team captain Mithali Raj and as the title suggests, Shabaash Mithu, the film chronicles the journey of Mithali Raj who raised the bars of game at international level.

The film talks of giving women cricketers their pehchan (identity) and talks of parity with the Men in Blue.

Talking about the cinematography – instead of recreating the real scenes, the makers have procured the footage of the 2017 ICC World Cup from a sports channel. So when the names Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, and Harmanpreet Kaur appear on the bottom half of the screen, it irks because the film doesn’t care to introduce them to us. Coach Tushar Arothe is conspicuous by his absence, and so does the statistic that it was Mithali’s second World Cup final as captain.

Overall, Tapsee Pannu and Vijay Raaz’s acting has been splendid through. You should definitely give this film a try for the cast!
